TAMILNAD TOOLS was incorporated as a Private Limited Company under the Indian Companies Act in 1975 and started functioning from the same year.

Mr. SP.KASSIMEYYAPPAN is the Promoter. A Mechanical Engineering graduate of 1969 Batch, Had intensive practical training at all the main factories of M/s. HMT Ltd, Bangalore for 1 year and later worked with M/s. Carborundum Universal Ltd, Chennai as Production Engineer till 1975. Belonging to the “NATTUKOTTAI CHETTIAR” Community – who have centuries of expertise and good will in business has devoted his entire time and energy in making the company One of the best in the area of our operation. From 2001 onwards his son Mr.K.VALLIAPPAN also a Mechanical Engineer is helping him and also doing on his own of manufacture of Cranes and other Material Handling Equipments. The tradition is being kept up.

⚫   1975, Started with 2 nos used lathes and a capital of Rs. 50000.00

⚫   Till 1985 – Carborundum Universal Ltd, India’s largest Abrasive Manufacturer was the only customer.Facilities added with only this customer in mind.

⚫   In 1985 – Decided to broad base our clients and accordingly additional capacity created in a cost saving and Innovative way – By Importing used machines and reconditioning them.

⚫   UP gradation of facilities and creation additional capacity was a continuous process.

⚫   In 2003 – CNC – Machines of very high capacity were added.

⚫   Our expertise in Importing of used machineries was utilized in supplying such machines to others as well.

⚫    Started Exporting of components regularly to United Kingdom and Singapore.

Started as Abrasive Moulds supplier. With addition of sophisticated machines and highly trained man power now, we are in – Oil Field Equipments, Nuclear and Steel Plant Accessories, Pressure Die Casting and Injection Moulding O/E components, Multi Start Threading, Space and Defense requirements, Fibre Textile Accessories, we have in our fold some of the Biggies in Public and Private Sector

FINANCIAL STANDINGS

The company has a strong financial base. The rapport with our bankers is good. Has got a very high rating with the creditors and the market. Capable of arranging required funds at very short notice.

FUTURE PLANS

Of late, we have entered the lucrative – Wind Mill sector. Two important manufactures of Wind Mills are in our fold. We have planned to concentrate more in this sector, with a New Plant. As most of the Windmill manufacturers concentrate in and around Trichy, for sub-contracting we have planned to put up a separate plant near Trichy. We will concentrate more on Exports also.
